Americana Star Pillow - February 28, 2012
Here is a photo of the Americana star pillow that I am making. I had to stop before I could finish it yesterday. I still need to stuff it and sew the opening closed. I drew a pattern <. you can see the pattern pieces pinned together in this photo>, cut it apart and I used Cranston checks and plaids to make this pillow. It has muslin on the back side. I had sent for rolls of these fabrics years ago. I can't wait to finish it and display it on the bed in an extra bedroom that is decorated in Americana.
Pillow Doll - February 27, 2012
I've been making these pillow dolls for over twenty years. She is about 10-12" high and I gave her yarn hair and used acrylic paint for her face. I also tied a crocheted ecru lace collar around her neck.

Bottle Cap Pincushion - February 26, 2012
I made another bottle cap pincushion already today & cut different fabric circles to make more of them. They are easy to make and they are great little treats to give to my friends.

I love thinking up new things to make & using the supplies that I have on hand. I made these little pincushions inside of bottle caps that I had been collecting. It uses up scrap fabrics and stray beads too. I love how they turned out.
The Last of the 250 Beaded Bee Fobs Are Made - February 24, 2012
I can't believe that I made the last 88 "beaded bee fobs" ( to use as fobs, key chains, zipper pulls or clip onto your purse or any other thing) & to sell for $5 each and donate all the money to the Vision Foundation in May. My friend's family suffers from this eye disease and her sister, Debra Laughlin, is the chairman of the Hampton, Virginia Vision Walk this coming May.

I decided to try something new today, so I gathered a fabric circle, stuffed it, added a bead and glued it into a bottle cap. I already cut out several more out to make . I love how it turned out.
