Goddess of Summer - quilt - June 2, 2012
Goddess of Summer - quilt - June 2, 2012
I designed and made this wall quilt in November of 2002 for the "Name of the game" challenge" on the Quilt Art chat list. I used cotton and satin fabrics, fancy yarns, buttons, sea shells and beads in this piece. I would change the design layout if I made it again and move the mermaid off-center.

Pine Hornblower - May 30, 2012
Pine Hornblower - May 30, 2012
I drew and cut this "horn blower" out of a 12" wide pine board. I curved the edges with my router. I then sanded the edges and stained it with dark walnut MinWax . I made it about 25 years ago. It hangs above my mantle in my living room.

Blue Bird - May 28, 2012
I made this 3-D "stuffed" blue bird from a pattern that was on the internet at :
http://www.beehiveandbirdsnest.com/2012/03/sew-your-own-fabric-birds.html
I love making these birds. This bird sits in my kitchen window.
